Cedar Rapids Google Developer Group Launch

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 6PM, I’m proud to be hosting Eastern Iowa’s first Google Developer Group (GDG) meetup. This first event will be a starting point for the group going forward and have a special focus on helping those interested in using Google tech to jumpstart start-up endeavors. We’ll be doing a generic review of the offerings Google has to developer types and explore how our attendees have used Google to enable their work.

Longer-term plans

Longer-term, Cedar Rapids’ GDG the intent is to be tackling a number of Google platform centric topics from Android mobile, App Engine, Apps (Productivity), Maps, and many more. Much of the programming will be directed by the attendees, their interest and expertise, and how we all can benefit by using Google services and developer resources.

All welcome, regardless of experience

These meetings will be free and all skill levels from novices to developer professionals are welcome. As long as you have an interest in Google offerings and what you can create with them you’ll fit right in.
